Using upcycling for boosting youth employment (Upcycling 4 Youth) no.2018-3-MK01-KA205-059937 is a KA2 Strategic Partnerships for youth project funded by the ERASMUS + Programme of the European Union.

Upcycling 4 Youth is a project aiming to empower the young people by training them how to use upcycling as a method for gaining self-confidence and sense of usefulness. They can use the newly gained techniques to create upcycled art and useful items as furniture, indoor and outdoor decoration items and take part in initiatives for environmental protection and improvement, leading them to become active citizens in their community. At the same time we want to introduce and promote social entrepreneurship and green businesses among young people as a productive and creative way of finding employment or becoming self-employed.

The project has produced the following intellectual outcomes:
1. Training on upcycling techniques and youth activism
2. Let's upcycle - interactive web-platform for e-learning, creativity and experiences sharing

The project has been implemented in the period 01-02-2019 till 31-10-2020.

    Available courses

During the training, involved young people will learn about the difference between recycling and upcycling, how to use used and recycled materials and turn them in useful furniture or items as indoor and outdoor furniture and decorations, images, and ornaments. The young people will also gain information and directions how they can turn this knowledge and practical creativity into own green business.

The training includes elements on promotion and introduction of social entrepreneurship and green businesses among young people as a productive and creative way of finding employment or becoming self-employed.

Special accent is placed on motivating the young people to become active citizens in their community (youth activism) and how they can contribute for providing better environment for themselves and the future generations.
